JahSonFire is the artist name of Jason Blackburn, a faith painter and worship musician who paints crosses with his hands instead of brushes and gives paintings away free to people who need them. His work joins raw, fire-colored expressionist art with worship music and plain-spoken writings on grace, healing and giving.
The story
JahSonFire — Jason Blackburn — paints crosses. Not with brushes, but with his hands, in prayer, letting the colors go where the Spirit leads. What comes out is fire: orange, amber and gold pressed into the shape of the cross.
He gives paintings away. Every month one hand-painted cross goes free to somebody on his list, and his free gift pack of paintings and worship songs is open to anyone who asks. Alongside that he writes about faith, grace and giving, records worship music, and offers his artwork on prints, apparel and home pieces so people can carry the fire with them.
His work lives at cross.live and jahsonfire.com — one catalog, two homes: free paintings and music, writings on the healing of the cross, a prayer request line he answers by name, and a shop that funds the giving.
